Hey yalls, welcome, good day, hello,
This is my first review of anything ever – so it means it’s good!
So around November 2018, I was looking for something to use under and around my eyes. I read and heard from so many articles and beauty influencers that you need to start taking care of the delicate skin around your eyes. You might have or starting to experience one of these three issues around the eye; puffiness, dark circles or fine lines.
As I dwelled more into ‘eye care’? Well, taking care of the skin around my eyes, there’s a lot of reasoning as to why it is very important to take special care of your eye area.
The skin around your eyes is so delicate that it shows the earliest signs of aging. (YES, I know, terrifying!). This is because the skin around your eyes is thinner and more delicate (yes, this word again!) than the skin on other parts of your body.
Our eyes do a massive amount of work throughout the day – in addition to us rubbing it and tugging at it. Sometimes other factors can cause the skin around the eyes to age more rapidly such as genetics, ultraviolet (UV) rays and lifestyle choices.
So obviously, I started freaking and wondered how could I have not known this from the beginning of my birth! So after calming down, I went on a witch hunt to search for the best eye care suited for my skin type.
Firstly, I started looking at the skin around my eye. Was it oily or dry? Does it have dark circles? Does it have fine lines? Is it puffy?
And so I’ve identified the skin type around my eye to this:
- Dry-oily, mostly dry
- Some fine lines
- Some puffiness
- Not much dark circles
So according to my skin type, I’ve narrowed it down to these few eye creams/oils :
86% brighter appearance; 80% reduction in puffiness. Late-night? Long flight? Look tired all the time?
Main Properties & Ingredients:
- Caffeine from Coffee Beans: For energizing eyes
- Panax Ginseng: For radiance
- Magnolia Extract: Anti-Inflammation & Anti-Wrinkles
Instantly helps brighten, visibly diminish the look of dark circles & depuff for a wide-awake look.
Best for skin type: Normal, Dry, Oily & Combination
Verdict: I’ve tried this and finished all the products. All in all, it was great! My eyes felt awake due to caffeine. Did I see any difference to my undereyes? It was more hydrated, but other than that, it was just okay. Because I have dry skin, the penetration of the cream into my skin took awhile.
This luxurious eye cream gently moisturizes the eye area without migrating into the eyes. Perfect for use under eye makeup, it contains highly effective natural ingredients that provide essential daily hydration and protection. The eye area is left softer, suppler, and more youthful-looking.

Verdict: Tbh, I’ve not tried this but it was a very close contender to the Origins Ginseng Eyecream. It was oozing ‘moisture’! But this leads me to the winner of the game –
An organic eye treatment formulated to smooth, tone, and brighten the eye area for a youthful and radiant appearance—featuring a unique rose quartz roller ball applicator to provide a soothing experience, while also passing along the vibration of love to you.

It helps support circulation and reduces puffiness to brightens skin around the eye area and prepare for makeup application.
Best for skin type: Dry
Verdict: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TO THE FREAKING MOON AND BACK. So my sister told me to check this out this line from Miranda Kerr (yes, she’s the ex Victoria Secret supermodel who was married to Orlando Bloom) – she has a skincare line called Kora. Kora prides itself for using only organic products that WORK. At first, I was afraid because it was an oil and some oils, used under the eyes can cause ‘melia’ – little white dots on the undereye. After reading so many reviews and watching so many video testimonials, I decided to get it. Boy, I did not regret. First of all, it is a dream to blend into the skin, it doesnt feel oily and sticky. My undereyes feel so hydrated and smoother than a baby’s butt (touch a baby’s butt for reference).
Girls, ladies, gents, aliens, bugs – and the ingredients in the product are so exotic and it feels exotic. It ticked off three requirements in what I wanted out of my eyecare; puffiness, fine lines and dark circles. The unique Rose Quartz* roller ball applicator provides a soothing experience (I feel bougeeeeee). Give my undereyes all the good vibrations!
I bought the Kora Eye Oil in November 2018 and I still have 3/4 left. I would probably have to repurchase next year. Honestly, worth the money.
Eversince using it, I don’t have to wear concealer on a daily basis. I only use concealer for big events like weddings, dates or parties. It’s a life saver! I use this oil both night and day, and all I need is one swipe.
#nofilter needed at all! Look at my undereyes!
So obviously, the Kora Eye Oil is the winner for me!
How do I fit this into my skincare routine?
- Eye Oil (Kora Eye Oil)
- Face Oil
- Eye Oil
- Face Oil (Kora Eye Oil)
- Lip Balm/Mask
If you are interested, the Kora Eye Oil is sold in stores in Sephora Malaysia, it was sold online, but it was removed.
Have a great day, beautiful weirdos!
